Yehia Shahine is the Head of Arbitration at ALC – Alieldean Weshahi & Partners. He joined the firm after working for more than 11 years with top-tier local and international law firms in France & Egypt. Yehia’s practice focuses on arbitration in civil and commercial complex disputes and regularly acts as counsel in large number of ad-hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings conducted under the arbitration rules of the ICC, CRCICA, DIAC, LCIA, CAS and UNCITRAL in multidiscipline industries including sports, telecom, construction, agro-food, oil & gas to name a few. Yehia has also gained wealth of experience in Competition Law by working as case handler and member of the advocacy team (working on the then amendments to the Competition Law) at the Egyptian Competition Authority.
Yehia holds a Bachelor of Law (license en droit) from l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and is also a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Cairo University. He also holds a master’s degree in business and tax law from and a second master’s in international and European business law, both from l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Yehia was admitted to the Cairo Bar in 2009 and is registered as an arbitrator in CRCICA’s list.
